Here some FAQ on my self and the blog.

Who are you?

I'm The Doctor!

Just kidding.
I'm only fond of databases. and PostgreSQL in particular.

Why did you created another blog on PostgreSQL?

I did because I see plenty of developers blog, but nothing strictly related with the database administration.

I think PostgreSQL is a first class product with powerful features but with unclear information about the caveats, the limitations and all the practical issues a DBA can face.

To be clear, the on line documentation on the official website is absolutely clear and well written.

During my experience as Oracle DBA, i had only one single point of KB where to search for informations, the old beloved Metalink.
I really miss something like this in PostgreSQL and maybe, if I have time, I will change this blog in a central repository for DBA. For now I'm trying to write down my knowledge to avoid misunderstanding.

I've long working experience on Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Are you a developer?

No, despite the fact I'm absolutely brilliant as developer, I'd rather prefer to die. I like to build things to make my life easier but definitely I don't want to develop to live.
